FAQ
What is this site?
We hope a way to discover new music that's a little different. Pick a song and we'll show you others that sound like it.
Isn't that what every other site does?
Everyone recommends tracks. Big sites look for people who like what you like. That's fine — if you want to be like everyone else. We're digging through bargain racks buying CDs we've never heard of because who knows.
How do you do that?
We read tracks and analyze them using CLAP (Contrastive Language-Audio Pretraining), then we do a lot of math. We give each track a number and can tell how close they are to each other.
How come YouTube videos?
We analyze music to get a number for a song. We use that number on the site. We're not distributing music, we're analyzing it.
What is a vibe?
Vibes are tracks that are close to each other in the math.
Why can an artist appear in multiple vibes?
The early Beatles don't sound like the psychedelic Beatles.
What is this bands sign up link?
Sign up and get your band on the site. We are about discovery. We need one song to analyze. To make you discoverable. YouTube link is great, too.
How do you work with record labels?
One way sort of works right now. Sign up your bands and upload some music. Discovery gets better for everyone.
